DID YOU SEE… BACKFLIPS!

There were backflips galore at the Health & Safety Show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre courtesy of Arco’s launch of it’s new Trojan workwear range. It certainly kept the crowds entertained, as did the scintillating discussion about circular economy and net zero featuring Stuff4Life hosted by Arco’s Jim Harbidge.

We decided to add an image of the boring old backflips though.

Why we’re optimistic… the EU has published an agreed position on textiles EPR and the UK Government has announced it will publish a roadmap for textiles circularity in the autumn - click below for more.

We’re reading The Social Value of Reuse by our friends at Tech Takeback for CIWM - you can read it too, here!

We’re watching (out for) the TEDx Talk by Stuff4Life’s founder, John T which should be live any day now… John was invited by University of Hertfordshire as one of several guest alumni.

His talk, Environmental Entrepreneurs and why Action Speaks Louder Than Words, can be summed up in three words: quote; space; stripes. Don’t worry, it’s not a coded what.three.words clue to where the buried treasure is (and if it was, form a queue!)… find out by watching it over on TEDxHerts (almost exactly one hour into the live stream here); we’ll post a link on our website when the standalone recording goes live.
